Social Media Marketing – Is it Important For Your Busniess?

Posted: September 15, 2009 in Uncategorized

We have been doing alot of speaking engagements lately and there seems to be a consistent question that business owners both large and small are asking…

Is this really important for my business?

The answer is yes, if it is done correctly…if you do it wrong, it can actually do more harm than good.

Although social media is a fairly new conecpt, the protocol for being effective has been around for a long time.  The same rules that make you great at attracting strategic alliances and prospects at face-to-face networking events apply to social media marketing.

  • Be interesting by being interested
  • Share relevent information that will help your prospect whether they choose to do business with you or not
  • Do Not be pushy, Do Not tell everyone withing 3 feet all about your product or service and why they need it
  • Become known as an industry leader and the go-to expert in your field by solving problems and sharing your knowledge

It comes down to common sense…use Social Media…..Don’t Abuse it… and it will pay you substantial dividends.

When people get to Know, Like and Trust you they WILL do business with you.  They just have to know how much you care about doing the right things and helping them solve a problem!

There has never been a better platform for allowing you to share your story, expertise, passion, etc., with the World!

When do you think would be the best time for you to get started???

Damn good. Is “How” that sell and not “What” you are selling.

You did keep it simple and plain.
